|
In the wake of COVID-19 situation which has posed unexpected challenges to the mankind around the word in general and large-scale Unorganized sector, where our KULA KASABU TAILORING is our main occupation of Namadeva Simpi (NS) Community in particular is majorly affected. In the last 60 days and due to LOCKDOWN, there are no customers approaching the Tailors for any
of their stitching needs. Given the current situation, people priority is for their Health, Safety, Savings
which has led the reduced customer demand as a result this consequence, “No Orders in the hands
of the Tailors”. Also, because of these circumstances they DO NOT have an income for their
livelihood and to take care of their family needs.
Taking the health & hygiene Challenges posed by during and post COVID 19 and to convert the same
into an Opportunity, NSSYGB has taken up an initiative in the name of “Project KULA KASABU” of
identifying, listing the Tailor’s database of our community – bringing them under one single platform
and help them find the Demand for “MASK”
Around 8 tailors from our community residing in Bengaluru have come forward for the PKK project. They have started preparing masks and later it was ditributed to the people through NSSYGB.
